Join us in our mission to create awareness and support for military sexual trauma survivors.
At Veterans Against Military Sexual Trauma, we are one of the only organizations in the country dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of military sexual trauma. With a great need for our services and a growing interest in our cause, we are working tirelessly to provide support and raise awareness.
Our organization stands out as the sole institution in the country focused on military sexual trauma.
With 8 military installations in the state alone, there is a great need for our nonprofit.
At Veterans Against Military Sexual Trauma, our founder, a veteran and survivor of military sexual trauma, embarked on a personal journey that led to the creation of the awareness ribbon. This powerful symbol represents the strength and resilience of those impacted by this issue. Inspired by her own experiences, our nonprofit aims to provide support, raise awareness, and advocate for the rights of military sexual trauma survivors.
Hear directly from military sexual trauma survivors as they share their personal stories of resilience, recovery, and empowerment in their own words.
Our professionals are dedicated to paving the way for veterans.
Military Sexual Trauma (MST) encompasses any form of sexual harassment, assault, or rape that occurs within a military setting or involves military personnel. This can include unwanted sexual touching, coercive sexual activities, or sexually explicit behavior that creates a hostile work environment.
Any military service member, regardless of gender, rank, or branch, can be affected by military sexual trauma. MST impacts individuals from all backgrounds and can have long-lasting effects on their personal and professional lives.
We provide comprehensive support for military sexual trauma survivors, including awareness campaigns that educate the public and military communities about MST. Our advocacy efforts aim to improve policies and support systems, and we also offer direct support services to help survivors in their recovery journeys.
You can assist by donating to support our ongoing programs, purchasing awareness merchandise to help spread the word, and by becoming an advocate for change in your community. Sharing information about MST and engaging in discussions can also help break the stigma and promote a better understanding of the issue.
While we are not currently able to see clients for in-person appointments, our team is dedicated to arranging therapeutic services for veterans suffering from military sexual trauma. We are actively working to expand our capabilities to provide these essential services. In the meantime, we can assist in connecting you with resources and professionals who specialize in MST treatment.
